Twelve years ago, Treacy put his technology background to work and deigned the Comparative Assessment and Self Evaluation (CASE) system. The custom database allows verifiable measurement of business best practices. Using a simple interface, policyholders can input answers, upload specified proof documentation and learn how they rank in measured best practices areas. CASE has been used both in measuring construction liability best practices and construction safety and work comp best practices.

With CASE measuring the construction work comp best practices of a $100M premium association, Treacy’s organization has developed resulting algorithms which indicate relative impact of specific practices on loss results for construction contractors by both code and size class. Roofing contractors are impacted differently than plumbing trades using specific practices. Plumbers of fewer than 10 employees benefit more than larger firms from certain practices. Additionally, best practice areas beyond prevention and PPE were measured, including employee selection and claims readiness.

The ability of the CASE system to aggregate large amounts verified data over a span of 7 years allows credibility and predictive modeling. At this moment, Treacy’s organization launched the TAKE TWO service. TAKE TWO allows deep discounting for use of CASE and action on the resulting recommendations. More products are in development as well, largely due to CASE.
